Abstract Presentation Guidelines
The Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) is committed to facilitating exchange of the best clinical and basic neurosurgical science in our Original Science Program.

The CNS Original Science Program comprises three distinct formats: Top Ten Abstracts, the Neurosurgical Forum, and Digital Posters. Irrespective of presentation format, all original science abstracts are also made continuously available and then archived after the meeting as online digital posters.
Top Ten Abstracts
The Top Ten Abstract presentation consists of two components - an oral presentation during the CNS Original Science Program and archival online display in the CNS Digital Poster Center. Your abstract has been automatically uploaded to the on-line Digital Poster Center where you now have the opportunity to enhance it with additional text, images and video.
  1. Acknowledgement
Confirm your participation by logging in at http://2009.cns.org.
Acknowledgement Deadline: Wednesday, May 13, 2009

After you enter the site, fill out the Top Ten Abstract Acknowledgement Form confirming your acceptance to participate in the session. Please complete and submit this form to the CNS immediately upon receipt for Scientific Program Book production purposes.

  2. Creating Your Digital Poster
After submitting your acknowledgement, you may begin creating your digital poster by clicking on the "Construct Digital Poster" link. Please download the Digital Poster Submission Instructions.
Submission Deadline: Monday, September 14, 2009

  3. Preparing Your Oral Presentation
When you prepare your oral presentation, please be certain not to exceed the 8 minutes allotted for your presentation. Please note the remaining 1 minute of your 9-minute time slot has been designated for questions from the audience. Instructions for the submission of your slide presentation as well as Speaker Ready Room instructions will be sent at a later date.
Neurosurgical Forum
The Neurosurgical Forum is part of the CNS Original Science Program that will take place from 4:00-5:30 PM on Monday, October 26, 2009. Your presentation is in the format of an interactive, oral poster. Your participation during this time is mandatory as you will present your work to the Section President, senior leadership, and interested meeting attendees. An award will be given to the best presentation in each section.

Your abstract has been automatically uploaded to the on-line Digital Poster Center where you now have the opportunity to enhance it with additional text, images and video. The CNS will print and display a poster-sized version of your work in the CNS Neurosurgical Forum arena in order to aid you in your presentation.
