In addition to submitting your abstract, you will need to upload a 1,500- word manuscript. Your Department Chairman must certify that the resident author had a significant role in the project. Description:
Given to the high ranking tumor-related basic science paper submitted by a principal investigator who has completed residency and is within the first six years of training.

Description:
Given to the best resident paper addressing a topic of cerebrovascular surgery as judged by the JSCVS Committee responsible for the CNS Meeting Section Program.

Description:
Given to the best clinical research paper focusing on benign tumors of the central or peripheral nervous system.

Julius Goodman Resident Award (Socioeconomic)
Description:
$500 award given to a neurosurgical resident based on originality, merit, innovation, and scientific process. The resident must have contributed a significant contribution to the abstract. The abstract is chosen by two to four members of the Communications and Education Committee (CEC) of the CSNS appointed by the Chair of the CEC. This annual award is presented at the CNS Annual Meeting. If it is decided that there is no abstract that deserves the award that year, the ad hoc committee may choose not to present the award that year.

National Brain Tumor Society Mahaley Clinical Research Award (Section on Tumors)
Description:
Given to resident, fellow or attending in neuro-oncology who presents the best clinical research paper in the field.

Given to the best basic science tumor-related paper submitted by young investigator.

Ronald Tasker Award (Resident Award - Section on Pain)

Sam Hassenbusch Young Neurosurgeon Award (Socioeconomic)
Description:

Sherry Apple Resident Travel Scholarship
Description:
The Sherry Apple Resident Travel Scholarship is granted yearly to an outstanding resident abstract accepted at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting. A stipend up to $2,000 is given to cover travel expenses.
